Brief Overview
The definition of the what is a cups is the same for all units and all time periods in the UGR. See here for further details.
The most prevalent cup shapes found in Mozan is the rough conical cup shape. Few round sided cups had a relatively tall footed base. Hemispheric cups could have a pointed base and could also have a footed base. These cups could also be decorated with incised decoration so similar to hemispheric bowls in shape and decoration but much smaller. In our other cups category many of these cups had a carination and a pointed base so again in some ways similar to carinated bowls.
